EKEDC’s ambiguous new bill

The Eko Electricity Distribution Company introduced a new, but self-contradictory, bill format effective January 2015. While indicating ‘NO METER’ for meter number, the company showed the precious and present meter readings with last reading date. There were repetitions of some information. The needless consumption analysis is at variance with the shown meter records. The billing period was printed on top of the heading, making it illegible. One thus shudders at the relevance and priority of the review vis-a-vis revenue and service improvement. The review is but unnecessary. The Discos should know that they are only custodians of money paid by consumers as it is meant for GENCOS and Transmission Cos also, hence they should not engage in frivolities. The new bill format is no improvement on the present one hence should be discarded.
