A Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Adegbenga Kaka, has said he is not scared of his two opponents, Mr. Buruji Kashamu and Dapo Abiodun who are contesting the Senatorial seat with him in the coming election.
Kashamu is vying for the Senate seat of the district on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party while Abiodun represents the All Progressives Congress.
He said his performance so far as the incumbent Senator of the district would get him votes that would overwhelm his opponents.
Kaka, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, said this on Friday while inaugurating a health centre he built and equipped at Oja-Agbo in Ijebu-Igbo , Ijebu North Local Government Area.
He said he had been enjoying the goodwill of the people because of his services to them and not because he had so much money.
He said, “I am not scared, never scared. Before now, I rely on the electorate and I still rely on the electorate. If you look at the services I have rendered, they have been masses-oriented.
“So, I am not bothered about any moneybags and I believe that the wish of the people will always see me though.
“In 2011, it was an open-secret that Kaka cannot kill, Kaka doesn’t have money and Kaka overwhelmed them with votes, so, this time around we are going to overwhelm them.
“There is nothing to fear. If you go round our constituency now, you will realise that they are losers already, so, nothing to fear.”
While handing over the health centre to the community, Kaka alleged that his attempt to equip another health centre he built at Abigi in Ogun Waterside, was scuttled by the local government authorities.
He claimed that the equipment he provided were locked in the secretariat.
He said, “The health centre we built at Abigi, they locked the equipment in the local government secretariat.
“They have not allowed the use of the equipment, they did not facilitate it, I was the one that facilitated the equipment, yet, they seized the equipment.”
